It is a great honor and privilege to extend my warmest greetings to you as the President of the Asian Association for Radiation Research (AARR). The association was established in 2005, and the 1st Asian Congress of Radiation Research (ACRR) was held in Hiroshima. Since then, AARR has dedicated to advancing the field of radiation research, fostering collaboration among scientists, and promoting the exchange of knowledge and ideas across Asia and beyond.
Radiation research is a vital and dynamic field, with profound implications for medicine, environmental science, and public health. As we face global challenges such as cancer treatment, nuclear safety, and environmental radiation monitoring, our collective efforts in research and innovation are more important than ever.
At AARR, we are committed to supporting and nurturing the growth of our members through a variety of initiatives, including conferences and collaborative research projects. Our goal is to create a vibrant community where scientists, researchers, and professionals can come together to share their expertise, discuss the latest advancements, and inspire the next generation of leaders in radiation research.
I am pleased to announce that we will be holding the 6th Asian Congress of Radiation Research (ACRR) in Hiroshima in October 2025, commemorating 80 years since the atomic bombings. This will be a momentous occasion, and we hope many of you will join us to reflect on this meaningful historical fact and contribute to the ongoing dialogue in radiation research.
I encourage all of you to actively participate in our events and contribute to our mission of advancing radiation research. Your involvement and dedication are what make our association strong and influential. Together, we can make remarkable progress and make a significant contribution to the field.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with AARR. I look forward to working with all of you to further our shared goals and to making meaningful advancements in radiation research.
With warm regards,
Satoshi Tashiro
